About Jeniffer

Jazz improvisation and scales and arpeggios form the technical foundation I provide for you. Dynamics and expression plus sight reading are essential areas where I assist students who require specific neurodivergent-affirming pacing.

Pop and contemporary styles combined with pedaling technique round out the expertise I hold from my MMus and MSM studies. Having spent 3 years in this field, I focus on the individual rhythms of my students, though sometimes the process just flows.

Diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan is the crucial starting point for your growth. Because I hold an MMus, I treat our time as an opportunity to build skills that transfer across every piece of music you play.

You might find that we spend 1 hour working backwards from a specific goal, as I prefer to break down complex notation into manageable sections that respect your unique way of processing information. This analytical approach keeps our sessions structured, yet I keep the atmosphere light and gentle to ensure you remain engaged throughout the hour.

We will consistently link your current progress to future challenges so that every concept feels meaningful and connected. You can expect a clear roadmap that evolves alongside your abilities rather than staying rigid. This method ensures that the work we do today pays off during your next practice session. My approach ensures that you will feel prepared for any timed performance.
