About Ellie

Hi! I’m a native English tutor from the UK with a passion for helping people achieve their goals through language️️

I’ve been fortunate to travel widely, living and working in diverse environments where English wasn’t always the common language.

This experience has given me an open mind and the ability to think creatively🫟, helping students overcome language challenges in ways that are practical, engaging, and tailored to their needs️.

I’ve worked in a variety of educational and social settings, including schools and orphanages in Sri Lanka, which taught me to adapt my teaching methods to different learners and backgrounds.

This adaptability, combined with my experience teaching children, allows me to design lessons that are personalised, stimulating, and effective for a wide range of students. Holding two university degrees in Psychology, I bring evidence-based strategies into my lessons to help students learn efficiently, retain knowledge, and build confidence. This background is particularly useful for advanced learners or those aiming to progress through Cambridge English exams, as I can structure lessons to target both language skills and cognitive learning strategies.

Above all, I love working with people and teaching is my way of helping others achieve great things. My lessons are designed to be dynamic, engaging, and tailored to your interests, so learning English becomes not just effective, but also enjoyable, motivating and life changing!️

About the lesson

My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s learning needs and interests.

Being a native speaker allows me to provide an authentic English experience, helping students internalize natural language patterns and improve fluency efficiently. I can also offer some support in Italian, which is helpful for beginners or students who feel more confident with occasional explanations in their own language.

Whether your goal is to improve conversational English, progress through Cambridge English exams, or excel in professional environments, my approach combines practical English use with strategies informed by psychology to enhance learning, retention, and confidence. Lessons are dynamic, personalized, and designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
