About Jonathan
Dusty chalk marks on my fingers remind me of how much I enjoy the mechanics of teaching. Helping struggling students find their footing in math remains my primary motivation after 13 years of work. Teaching 309 students has shown me that mental math is a skill that anyone can sharpen with enough repetition. I rely on my MSc Applied Mathematics from the University of Chicago to explain geometry and mensuration without unnecessary jargon.
Vedic math techniques often provide the shortcut that turns a frustrated child into a confident problem solver. Sometimes, a student only needs a clear, direct nudge to see how linear algebra applies to the numbers on their page.
