About Rexie
I am a MSc Chemistry graduate and currently a PhD researcher in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Newcastle. I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy helping students understand concepts that may initially feel difficult or overwhelming. I believe learning becomes easier when lessons are explained in a simple way. Moreover, I am patient, friendly, lovely and committed to helping students improve their confidence and academic performance at their own pace

My lessons are designed to make Chemistry (especially organic and inorganic chemistry) and science easier to understand. I focus on building a foundation in chemistry concepts, improving equation-solving skills, and breaking down complex mechanisms into simpler terms, thereby helping students gain interest in chemistry. Importantly, I adapt my teaching style based on each student's learning pace and their academic goals.
I am an MSc graduate in Chemistry, also currently pursuing a PhD in material science and engineering at the University of Newcastle. Having a strong academic background in chemistry, I have strong knowledge in Chemistry, scientific concepts, laboratory techniques and research-based learning.
I am a learning and teaching enthusiast, which made me enter teaching while doing my bachelor's. I have tutored many HSC students both offline and online. Also, I have tutored kids level science. Currently, as a part of my PhD, I am tutoring and supervising master's students at the University of Newcastle.
My lessons are suitable for high school, HSC and University students who need support in Chemistry and general science subjects. Classes can be conducted online or in person, depending on location and availability. Typical lesson durations are 1 to 2 hours with personalized explanations, practice questions and revision support.
