About Tom
I am currently in my second year studying at the Guildhall school of music and drama in London.
Before this, I was a student at Wilson's School and the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music, where I achieved a merit in ABRSM Grade 6 Theory. I also hold an A* in A level music.

My name is Tom, a second year undergraduate student at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
I am punctual, organised, and most importantly: passionate about all areas of music. I believe that a solid grasp of music theory can help students to advance their music making and deepen their interest in this wonderful art form.
I cater to a spectrum of students ranging from beginners, to those looking to sit their Grade 5 theory, or to those simply wishing to gain a simple understanding of theory to supplement their GCSE and A level studies. Our one-to-one lessons will take place online due to the ongoing pandemic.
In addition to music theory I am able to teach music reading, composition, musicology and classical music as supplements to secondary school musical education from KS3 to A level.
Ideally lessons would take place once a week, at a time convenient for the student, and we will work through the concepts outlined in the ABRSM theory books. I will then set homework exercises from these books for students to complete each week which will then be reviewed in the next lesson along with me answering any questions you may have.
