About Erin

I was Principle of 'Read Theatre School' for the past year. I lead and taught the Saturday Theatre School (ages 5-18 years old) as well as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial Dance. I love the arts - and I have a deep passion for passing on my abilities to others.

I graduated in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre (Triple Threat). Below are some of my Erin trained at ‘The University of Chichester’ graduating with a first class BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre (Triple Threat). There, Erin studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Commercial as well as Vocal Technique and Acting. I have also trained at ‘The Centre for Advanced Training, Youth Dance Academy’ in Swindon training in Contemporary, Jazz and Ballet.

Theatre Credits includes: Lead Vocalist in ‘Moving On’ (Leicester Square Theatre); Ivy Smith in ‘On The Town’ (UK Regional Tour); Lead Vocalist/Dance Captain in ‘Beyond Wonderland’ (Assembly Theatre); Isabella in ‘Murder, Mayhem and Masque – Adaptation of ‘Women Beware Women’ (Assembly Theatre); Louise in ‘Carousel’ (The Alexandra Theatre).

I have also worked as Redcoat at ‘Butlins’, Minehead (2016) – entertaining and performing for the guests. As well as this, I volunteered in USA in 2017 working at a Summer Camp for adults with developmental and physical disabilities which opened my eyes to another way of learning and communicating.

I studied in Reading with A* - C grades at GCSE level and A-C grades at A-Level, studying English Literature, Ethics and Philosophy, Drama and Dance.

About the lesson

I am a patient, personable and approachable. My positive attitude has meant I have been able to build great relationships with past students which has contributed to successful results as they trust me and my way of working. Firstly, I like to get to know the person I am tutoring but knowing their learning style, eg a visual learner etc. This makes sure that the student feels comfortable with me and understands that I want to cater to their way of learning to help them achieve their best results.
I like to find innovative and new ways of working to engage the student with the time I have with them, to inspire them to do extra work on their own and finally for them to maintain knowledge to a high standard so they perform well in exams or tests.

*GCSE + A-LEVEL TUTORING* I find that a lot of the exams at GCSE and A-LEVEL rely a lot on HOW to answer the exam, as well as have a solid foundation of knowledge. I would encourage the student to understand the key words in exam questions and apply the knowledge from that to their answers.

I love teaching and I can't wait tutor some more to pass on my knowledge.
