About Davmarie

Although I am a high school student, I always take tutoring seriously and prepare each lesson to meet my students' individual goals. I'm reliable, organized, and committed to helping every student improve. Whether you're a beginner learning English or want to become more confident using it in everyday life, I'll work with you every step of the way.

About the lesson

As someone who had to move from Puerto Rico to the United States, I understand the struggles that you might be going through. This is why I am patient and focused on building confidence in your speaking and writing. I encourage you to make mistakes! When you make mistakes, you learn from them.

For your first lesson, we will identify your goals and learn vocabulary that will start your learning journey. We'll practice together through interactive activities, reading passages, and real-life speaking exercises. At the end of each lesson, we'll review key points and discuss what to practice before our next session.

What sets me apart is that I learned English from scratch; I immersed myself in the language and learned the do's and don'ts of learning English, especially when you are learning in a rush. As a current high school student, I also connect well with younger learners and explain concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

My lessons are for beginners or intermediate English speakers, especially children, teenagers, and Spanish speakers who want to improve their speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, and everyday communication. I will match each lesson to your goals.
