About Rafia
My name is Rafia and I am currently studying medicine in London! I love to be creative and have a number of outlets to express this - writing and art being my favourites! I hope to one day publish a book! I also love to go on walks and (recently) runs! I love to relax with my friends. And, of course, I love to read, to study, and to teach! I have taught anatomy for a couple of years during university, have led a creative writing group for teens during sixth form, and have tutored students through my school in the past! I’m excited to teach again.

In my first lesson I just want to get an idea of what level you’re at in your subject, what level you’d like to be at and then I’ll also ask you questions about your learning style so I can get a better idea of how I can help you! For books and other writings I am unfamiliar with, I would ask for a few days-1 week to become familiar enough to teach you and help you out. After this introduction, I will ask you to tell me what specific areas you’re wanting to go over (for example, the same part of your curriculum being covered in your school at that moment so you can get a better understanding, or, more often, areas you are finding particularly difficult!). I will ask for these as in advance as your are able to!
Throughout our lessons, I will continuously try to adapt to what my student needs and what will be most effective for them. I encourage questions and constant feedback if a particular teaching method is not working perfectly for you, so don’t be afraid to point these things out - I simply want the best for my students, and I hope to be able to unlock their full academic potential!
