About Natalie

Hi! I’m Natalie, a Primary Education graduate from the University of Derby. I have a strong passion for working with children and helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Throughout my degree, I gained hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of every child. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing children understand new concepts and grow in confidence. I believe that every child has unique strengths and abilities, and my goal is to support them in reaching their full potential. Teaching allows me to combine my knowledge, creativity, and patience to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. I especially enjoy teaching Maths, Science, and English, as these subjects are foundational for future learning and problem-solving. My approach is tailored, interactive, and supportive, ensuring that lessons are not only educational but also engaging and fun. Helping children build both academic skills and self-belief is what motivates me every day, and I am committed to making a positive difference in their learning journey.

About the lesson

I focus on building understanding, confidence, and a love of learning in Maths, Science, and English. Using a variety of teaching methods, including games, practical examples, stories, and real-life applications, I make even challenging topics accessible and fun. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas at their own pace. Each lesson is carefully planned to target areas where the child needs the most support, while also challenging them to stretch their abilities and think creatively. Whether your child needs help with homework, exam preparation, or just wants to deepen their knowledge and skills, I provide clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and plenty of encouragement. I also focus on developing transferable skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and independent learning, which will help them across all subjects. Ultimately, my goal is not just academic improvement, but also helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine enjoyment of learning. I adapt every lesson to the child’s pace, interests, and learning style, ensuring that they feel motivated, supported, and proud of their progress every step of the way.
