About Alex

I have worked teaching English both in the UK and abroad, so I have first-hand experience of how daunting it can be to live and work surrounded by an unfamiliar language! I am passionate about teaching and learning languages. I have studied French, Spanish and Polish, which has given me invaluable experience of what it is like to learn a new language and the struggles that can go along with it. I have taught children aged 7+ as well as adults at all levels, from complete beginner to advanced (A1-C2). I have experience in teaching exam preparation (IELTS, FCE, CAE etc.), business English and conversation lessons both in person and online. I am a CELTA-qualified teacher of English as a foreign language. I studied TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and French at the University of Sunderland.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and aims. Whether you are preparing for an exam, want to practise your conversation skills, are struggling with complex grammar or just want to learn a globally useful language, I would love to help! I aim to make learning English relaxed and enjoyable, with focus on your personal goals.
