About Abbie

Hello, My name is Abbie and I am from England!

I am a native English speaker who is lucky enough to have lived and worked in Spain for three years. In my three years in Spain I taught English as a second language and loved every minute of it. I understand learning a language can be difficult, I have also had to learn a new language, so i'm prepared to help you and make your lessons fun and interesting.

I have done other travel where I worked in Canada and on Cruise Ships so I have worked and lived with people from all over the world and love learning about everyone's cultures and life styles.

In England I work in a primary school with children ages between 4 - 11 as a teaching assistant, where I get to support the children in their lessons and I also teach small groups phonics where they will learn to read, write and spell.

I look forward to meeting you and discussing what you want achieve and whats the best way for you to do that.

About the lesson

My lessons will be designed for each individual person, whether they want conversation to practice day to day conversations, through games and activities to keep it light hearted and relaxed, worksheets and exam papers to help those who want to pass a certificate in English or you may have another way you would like to learn.

I think the best time frame for my lessons is between 30 mins and 45 minutes, as I know learning another language can be difficult and I would rather you come out of the lesson feeling you have learnt something new and not feeling overloaded. I am happy to go up to an hour if you wish.

I have a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) where I used this for three years whilst living and working in Spain. I worked in an academy with students from the ages of 3 years old to adults, from A1 - C2 level. I worked using the Cambridge method and my students did 3 exams a year, with a high pass rate. I also taught lessons for students who needed to pass their English exams to graduate from university.
Aside from this I also taught English on a one to one basis, which varied from people wanting to improve there conversational skills or pass English exams at school and university level.

I welcome all ages to my lessons and all English levels welcome, I will do my best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in my lessons and that you leave feeling happy and excited to learn more.
