About Harris

My name is Harris, a native Greek speaker from Thessaloniki now living in Dublin and working in mental health nursing. I bring a calm, patient energy to my lessons, but I like to keep things fun and relaxed too. As an LGBTQ+ tutor, creating a warm, inclusive space is really important to me. I keep lessons practical, enjoyable, and adapted to your pace, whether you’re a total beginner, getting ready for a trip to Greece, or just wanting to chat more confidently. My goal is simply to help you enjoy Greek without stress.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is relaxed, friendly, and adapted to each learner. I get students speaking Greek from the very first lesson using simple explanations, real-life phrases, and plenty of guided practice. Lessons are usually 60–90 minutes and focus on practical vocabulary, natural pronunciation, and short conversations that build confidence quickly.

As a native speaker from Thessaloniki, I teach the Greek people actually use. I’ve worked with complete beginners, travellers preparing for Greece, and adults who want to feel more comfortable speaking. I create an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone and aim to make learning Greek enjoyable, supportive, and something you look forward to each week.
