About Anna

I am from Niigata and lived in Tokyo.
I worked at a restaurant, so I know some great cafes!
After that, I worked at a company in Tokyo for 3 years, and then moved to Malaysia to do customer support for a travel company for 3 years.
Now, I live in Australia and work at a restaurant!

My hobby is traveling (I have visited 16 countries!).
Also, I am studying English right now..!
Learning a language is very fun but also very difficult. If you make mistakes in my lesson, it's okay!
I will give you gentle feedback.
I can also support you in English if you need it, so please don't worry ️

If you are nervous about your first trip to Japan, please book my trial lesson
I want to hear about your travel plans and what you are excited about
Next time, we can start with something easy like "Ordering at a restaurant"
I am waiting for you

About the lesson

Are you going to Japan in 3 months?
If you are not confident in Japanese, don't know what to say on your trip, or feel worried about using trains, I am a great match for you!
I want to help you study happily and talk with locals, not just do sightseeing.

Hi! I'm Anna. I am from Japan and now living in Australia
My friends say I am a "good listener" and "curious person" ️
I have lived in other countries, so I know the differences between Japan and the world.
If you are going to Japan for the first time, let's enjoy preparing for it together

If you know some Hiragana or basic Japanese but cannot speak it yet, you are welcome!

Japanese for Travel

Role-play practice: We will practice useful Japanese for restaurants, shopping, and train stations.

Trouble situations: We can practice what to say if you have a problem during your trip.

Culture and Manners: I will teach you Japanese rules so you can feel confident.

Tokyo Tips: I can recommend my favorite sightseeing places near Tokyo!

Japanese for Conversation

Talk with locals: This is good for people who want to talk with Japanese people naturally.

Practical phrases: We will practice introducing yourself and saying what you want.

Surprise native speakers: Let's learn fun words that are not in normal textbooks!
