About Xiaojing
There is a Chinese proverb that says that it is better to teach someone how to fish than to give them a fish. I enjoy teaching and constantly reflecting on how language can be explained in the clearest and simplest way possible. For me, language is not only a communication tool, but also a bridge to understanding other cultures. My motivation to teach comes from a genuine commitment to learning and a professional ambition to help students develop independence and confidence in their language use.

In my teaching, I use both interactive teaching and explanatory tutorials. The focus is on helping students understand the logic of the Chinese language, word formation and how to express themselves in a natural and idiomatic way. Teaching is mainly in Chinese, with English as support when needed. Lessons are 45–60 minutes or up to 90 minutes. I have about two years of experience in private teaching. The courses are suitable for students with basic knowledge of Chinese who want to further develop their oral and written expression together with a native speaker.
