About the lesson
I am a native speaker of Persian (Farsi) and an avid reader of Persian literature. I have a master’s degree in Persian linguistics and have researched the linguistic (semantic and phonological) aspects of humor in Farsi. Moreover, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Linguistics. I teach Farsi through immersion in modern Farsi literature and popular TV shows.

About Sarvenaz
I have a thorough knowledge of Persian both in terms of its aesthetic potential, which manifests itself in Persian literature, and its linguistic features, which characterize the Persian language as it is used in day-to-day communications. In teaching Persian to non-native speakers, I aim to introduce my students to Persian as it is used in everyday communications. I will also help them read and relate to Persian Literature, particularly modern Iranian literature.
