About Lucy
Hello, I'm teacher Lucy. I have a Master's degree in Literature and Philosophy. I love to talk about books, art, film and nature – do you? I have a 120 hour English teaching certificate, awarded by the University of Cambridge. I’ve taught English all over the world, in Germany, Sri Lanka and India. I love my current work as an online English teacher. I teach adults, young people and children, one-on-one and in small groups. In feedback reports students have consistently rated me at 9.9/10. My other passion is music. I sing and play folk guitar to audiences in the UK and around the world.

I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher. My main goal is to help you fulfil your potential. I devise engaging speaking exercises to make sure you get lots of real life practice. I teach grammar through engaging exercises and give concise explanations. I use props, pictures and actions to convey the meaning of new vocabulary. I give thorough error correction on spoken and written English throughout my lessons. I put my own creativity into my lesson plans, and make material relevant. I have a specialism in literature and creative writing.
