About Chelsey
While I am relatively new to teaching, gaining certification in TEFL only within the last 6 months, I have already had the opportunity to teach group and 1-on-1 sessions, for a broad range of age groups and English levels. I have conducted more formal classroom lessons in Tanzania, and also participated in more casual, 1-on-1 lessons with individuals from other African and South Asian countries.
My first passion is learning about different cultures and feel that language learning is an important aspect of this, as it truly deepens the connections and experiences you can have while traveling or even meeting people in your hometown! I am often in the process of learning a new language myself, so I use my own experience as a learner to continually improve the delivery of my own lessons and relate to my students.
Overall, I am a patient and eager teacher- I truly enjoy creating individualized lesson plans that engage and enrich each student's English learning journey.
