About Shraman

Hi, I’m Shraman Paul, an English teacher who believes learning should feel less like a boring lecture and more like a conversation that actually makes sense. I have completed my M.A. in English Literature (First Class) and qualified for the NTA-UGC NET examination, which means I’m academically trained to teach literature and language at an advanced level. But honestly, degrees alone don’t make a good teacher. What matters is how you connect ideas with real life. In my classes, literature is not just about memorizing poems or stories. We talk about emotions, society, identity, humor, and the strange, beautiful chaos of being human. I love bringing examples from movies, memes, everyday conversations, and current culture so that even complex texts feel relatable. I have taught students preparing for competitive exams like WBPSC, WBSLST, and UGC-NET; mentored university students; and worked as a resource person in English literature. Over time I realized that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking for themselves. I also write poetry and research papers, which keeps me connected to the creative side of language. So in my classes you will not just learn grammar rules or literary theories; you will learn how language works, how stories shape and run the world, and how to express your ideas with clarity and confidence. If you’re someone who wants to understand English deeply without feeling overwhelmed, my classroom is a space where curiosity, discussion, and a bit of humor are always welcome. Learning should never feel like a burden; it should feel like discovering something new about the world and about yourself.

About the lesson

Integration of real-life experiences, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, and sometimes God knows what, would be a part of my lesson plan. This integration is important because it helps my students understand the texts and topics more effectively. My classes, especially the discussion on grammar and literary texts, would be friendly for Millennial, Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and Gen Beta learners. As a member of Gen Z myself, I would ensure that the classes do not feel like a drag (Shikamaru would agree with me) but rather become a space where students can engage, interact, and enjoy the vibe of learning. Notes will be provided, and you will find it easy to interact with me and satisfy your curiosity. See you in class.
