About Myriam
Hi! I’m a NYC middle school teacher with a background in English and special education. I have experience working with students with different learning needs and ability levels. I really enjoy helping students understand things that may have been difficult for them before and seeing their confidence grow. I’m patient, easygoing, and believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.

I like to make my lessons fit each student and what they need help with. I can help with reading, writing, ELA, homework, and test prep. As a special education teacher, I’m used to explaining things in different ways and breaking down work so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. I’m patient and want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, while also helping them become more confident and independent in school.
