• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I developed an interest in English at a very young age because I was an ESL student myself. As my parents were learning English, I naturally became the primary point of contact between them and the world around us, at school, appointments, and in everyday situations. Through that experience, I saw firsthand how powerful language is and how it can shape confidence, independence, and opportunity. Later, in university, one of my professors deepened this interest by showing me that English is not just a subject but a lifelong journey of communication, interpretation, and growth.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I am passionate about English because there are so many different ways in which we can understand and approach the process of learning English. Learning how to communicate (in any language) is something that is a life-long learning process. We always have the potential to learn new words and find new writing styles. What makes me passionate about English is its ability to connect people and give them a voice. I understand how intimidating learning a new language can feel, but I also know how empowering it is when things begin to click. English has helped me navigate different worlds, support my family, and express myself more clearly. As such, I feel deeply motivated to help others build confidence in their communication and see language as something accessible rather than overwhelming.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  I love tutoring because it allows me to support students in a very personal and meaningful way. I enjoy meeting learners where they are, understanding their goals, and adapting my teaching style to fit their needs. I am patient, empathetic, and aware that learning happens differently for everyone. What makes me a “Superprof” is my ability to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions—because that’s where real learning happens.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My greatest role models are my parents. Watching them commit to learning English later in life taught me that learning never stops. They showed me the importance of vulnerability as a learner—being willing to make mistakes, ask questions, and keep trying. That mindset has shaped how I approach learning and teaching today. I strive to pass that same sense of resilience and openness on to my students.

• What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are consistency, empathy, and adaptability. I believe steady effort leads to meaningful progress, especially in language learning. Empathy allows me to understand students’ challenges and support them without judgment, while adaptability helps me adjust my teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Together, these qualities allow me to build strong relationships with students and help them grow with confidence.
