About Josh

About me: I’m a DJ with experience playing sets across the US, Europe, and Scotland, and I’ve been coaching and teaching in different capacities for over eight years through swimming, triathlon, and sport. Teaching has always come naturally to me - I enjoy breaking things down clearly, helping people develop confidence, and seeing them hit their first big milestones. DJing is something I’m genuinely passionate about, and passing that knowledge on is just as rewarding as playing a great set. That’s why I started teaching: to help others learn the right way, avoid the early mistakes I made, and discover their own sound behind the decks.

About the lesson

My lessons are fully customised to your level and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to tighten up your club sets, I cover everything from beatmatching and mixing technique to track selection, rekordbox workflow, organising playlists, and reading a crowd. Every session is hands-on, practical, and focused on helping you build confidence behind the decks.

We’ve been extremely impressed with our son’s DJ tutor. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. Lessons are well structured, engaging, and tailored to our son’s interests. Most importantly, he is trustworthy and creates a positive, supportive environment where our son has grown in both skill and confidence. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and talented DJ tutor.
