About Kelly
I personally think that conversational, practical English is the best way to start learning.
Once your spoken English is improved, your writing and reading in turn improves as you link things spoken in conversation with something you have read or heard. This connection, in my opinion, helps motivate you to learn as you start to understand more and more.
I have been learning Spanish both in university and living in Spain and I find this the best way to learn.
The importance of learning colloquial language is paramount as this is what is used primarily everyday. Once your confidence in general conversation has improved we will move on to more proper language used for business, University etc. if desired.
There is few things in life as interesting as a good conversation with someone, and few things as rewarding as being able to understand and comprehend such conversations in another language!
