About Sheryl

Hi, I’m Sheryl, an online English tutor based in Malaysia with experience supporting students across different age groups and learning abilities.

I specialize in helping students improve their English in a clear and structured way, focusing on reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and overall communication skills. My lessons are designed to build confidence step by step, especially for students who may feel unsure or behind in English.

I have experience working with primary school students as well as learners who require additional support, including those with special learning needs. About the lesson

Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level, learning style, and goals, whether that is improving reading, writing, grammar, or spoken English.

My teaching methodology is structured yet flexible. I break down concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use guided practice, real-life examples, and interactive questioning to ensure students fully grasp each topic. For younger learners, I incorporate engaging activities to keep lessons fun and focused, while for older students and adults, I focus on practical communication, academic writing, and fluency improvement.

A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and attention span.

I have experience as an online tutor working with a wide range of students, including those with additional learning needs. I currently support primary-aged students across English learning areas such as phonics, comprehension, grammar, spelling, and writing skills.
