About Claire
I am a teacher of 15 years, with a first class degree in English, with History (minor), but have since branched out into social sciences, psychology and media/communication studies. I have tutored and supported students from GCSE to Masters level, and have experience working closely with high ability students and students with a range of learning disabilities, including autism and dyslexia (in its various forms). At degree and masters level, I have experience supporting research skills and writing for coursework and particularly dissertation pieces, including a student taking a masters, and another submitting a thesis for a medical degree.

I assess a students goals alongside their current levell and their preferred learning style. From there, I discuss what is the best approach. For many, online lessons are best, and I provide hour or half hour online Skype lessons, where this is the case (some students need an hour session broken into two, to aid concentration and optimise learning). I also provide proofreading, feedback and support with projects, essays and dissertations, as well as revision support. This can often address particular areas not covered by face to face teaching; Not all students want traditional tuition, and instead need support writing for coursework or exam technique.
