About Hiroki

Aloha! Thank you for your interest in reading my bio.

I started playing a ukulele since I was 10 years old for about 15 years.
When I was young I had ukulele lessons for about 3 years and taught by myself after.

I have an experience in busking, performing ukulele duet at the concert hall and hostels.
I've been teaching ukulele / guitalele / guitar to my friend and sibling to share the fun music since I was young.

About the lesson

My lessons can cover:
-Basic to Advanced chords
-Different strum and arpeggio patterns
-Playing chords to sing along
-Ukulele Solo
-Hawaiian songs to Modern songs. (Any Genre - Please let me know songs you want to play.)
-etc..

Lessons can be done online or in-person such as park. (Travel cost may incur depending on the area)

Perfect! Hiroki represents everything one looks for in a teacher.
He is kind, incredibly patient, and will always do his best to please you with the choice of songs you'd like to learn. Me (playing ukulele), and my husband (guitar) both enjoyed our lessons with him and look forward to another ones to come.
Hiroki is happy to host lessons at his home, but has no problem travelling to your place either. In these challenging covid times however we are meeting him in the Green Park to ensure everybody's safety.
I can't recommend Hiroki enough.

Peti is a hard-working student. She can play some basic chords already and we are learning new chords and new strumming patterns and timing for the chord change. Her chord change is getting more smooth than before and the strumming pattern is becoming more solid. Most importantly she enjoys playing ukulele which is the most important thing to become better at ukulele :)

Hiroki is a great teacher, fun and professional. I personally like watching a lot of anime and he taught using some anime references which was great for me to remember. He uses some slides for the lesson which visually helps to learn Japanese :)
