About Colleen
I’m passionate about helping students feel confident and capable in their learning. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with minors in Psychology and Forensic Science, which has given me a strong understanding of learning styles and motivation. As a mother of a son with ADHD, I’ve learned the importance of patience, flexibility, and encouragement in helping students stay engaged and reach their goals. I create a calm, supportive environment where students can build their English skills at their own pace through personalized lessons in reading, writing, and communication. My goal is to make learning a positive experience that inspires confidence, growth, and a genuine love of learning.

My lessons are designed to make students feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their learning. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to get to know their strengths, challenges, and goals before creating a personalized plan that fits their needs.
For elementary students, I focus on building a strong foundation in reading, writing, and grammar through fun, engaging activities that spark curiosity and confidence.
For middle and high school students, I help strengthen reading comprehension, essay writing, and critical thinking skills while encouraging open communication and self-expression.
Each session is positive, patient, and goal-oriented. I provide gentle guidance, clear explanations, and practical strategies that help students feel capable and proud of their progress. My goal is to help every student not only improve their English skills—but also believe in themselves as learners and communicators.
