I offer personalized virtual SAT Reading/Writing, AP English Language, and AP English Literature tutoring tailored to each student’s strengths, goals, and learning style. My teaching approach focuses on helping students build confidence in analytical reading, essay writing, rhetorical analysis, and time management rather than simply memorizing strategies.
As someone who earned a perfect SAT Reading & Writing score, a 5 in AP English Language, and a 4 in AP English Literature, I understand both the academic content and the test-taking techniques needed to succeed. I aim to make complex passages, literary analysis, and essay structures feel approachable and manageable for students who may feel overwhelmed by English-heavy coursework.
A typical lesson usually includes:
• Reviewing homework questions, essays, or difficult concepts
• Practicing SAT passages or AP-style analysis together
• Breaking down rhetorical strategies, argument structure, and textual evidence
• Working on timed writing, reading comprehension, and revision techniques
• Developing personalized strategies to improve accuracy, speed, and confidence
I especially focus on helping students learn how to think critically and write clearly in a way that feels natural and organized. Rather than relying on rigid formulas, I help students understand how strong arguments and analyses are actually built.
