-Currently working in a boarding house, including teaching -assistant duties for music lessons

Over the past 15 years of my flute playing, I have developed an intense passion for sharing the joy of perfecting this instrument, I believe the flute is an instrument that every child should have the chance to experience.

My approach to teaching flute:
I focus on practical, hands-on methods that build real technique rather than just "getting through" a piece. Each lesson combines:
Sound production work — using the science of embouchure, air support and tone to help students get a clear, consistent sound from early on
Practice tools and aim exercises — simple, repeatable drills that build accuracy and control, so students know how to practice effectively at home, not just what to practice
Scale work — a regular part of every lesson to build finger fluency and technical confidence
Warm-up exercises — designed to get fingers and embouchure ready, while also getting students thinking musically before we dive into repertoire
Music theory — woven into lessons naturally so students understand the "why" behind what they're playing, not just the notes
Sight reading — practiced regularly so students build confidence reading unfamiliar music
Typical lesson length:
Lessons run either 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student's age, stamina and goals.
