About Iona
Hello! I am currently studying Classics and English at the University of Oxford. I took French, Classics and English Literature A levels, and achieved As in all of them. I'm a big fan of modernist poetry (T.S Eliot is one of my favourites) but also lots of other types of literature - I especially love the overlap between the literature of the Classical world and that of the English canon (hence my degree subject). I look forward to working with you!

My teaching method is based on open communication: you tell me what you're having difficulty with and we work through it together! This applies to everything: exam technique, your coursework novel, unseen poetry analysis, essay writing structures - whatever you need help with, I'll do my best to provide it. I'd like to see examples of your writing as our time together progresses, so I know how you're applying the skills we cover in class, and how you can improve further, but I have no hard and fast rule about exactly how much you need to do each week - it can vary depending on what else you have going on!
If you have any needs disability-wise please let me know and I will accommodate them to the best of my ability! Education should be accessible for all.
