About Ava
I have an MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford and a BA(Hons) in Classics, Ancient History, and Archaeology from Trinity College Dublin. My love of the ancient world was first inspired when I discovered Percy Jackson! I am currently working towards a teaching degree.

I offer tutorials in the Classics, Latin, and Ancient Greek. These tutorials are for anyone who wishes to learn - I tailor my delivery according to the needs of the student.
My approach to learning the history and culture of the Ancient Greeks and Romans is to explore the stories told through extracts from literature, archaeology, and architecture.
When learning the languages of Ancient Greek and Latin, I follow set textbooks with exercises for practice.
I use presentations and insights from anthropologists to enhance depth of understanding about these ancient cultures.
I teach up to Leaving Cert or A Level. Depending on what the pupil wishes to learn, topics are often delivered in sets of lessons. I normally follow school term-times if a student wishes to learn an entire subject.
I am based in Dublin, Ireland. I mostly deliver online and will tutor in-person where possible. Lessons are normally in the evenings or on weekends, lasting an hour.
I also have an MA in Creative Writing and offer a course in narrative technique.
Having spent 6 years at university, I advise on essay writing skills.
