About Neil

I am a recent MSc graduate in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford, with a strong academic background in Life Sciences and Biochemistry. Having consistently achieved top marks throughout my studies, I understand what is required to excel in exams and coursework. Alongside my academic achievements, I have teaching experience as a Preclinical Teaching Assistant at Oxford, where I taught and supported medical students in their training. I have also led workshops and tutorials for undergraduates, developing a clear and adaptable teaching style. My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to individual needs. I focus on simplifying complex topics, building confidence, and preparing students to perform at their best. Professionalism and reliability are central to my approach, and my goal is to provide a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

I aim to make my lessons clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable parts, and then reinforcing understanding with practice questions and exam-style problems. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence in their own problem-solving. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though I can adapt to shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s preference. I usually begin with a quick recap to check understanding, introduce or revise a topic, and then spend the second half applying the material through examples, past papers, or exercises. In terms of experience, I recently completed my MSc in Pharmacology at the University of Oxford after graduating with distinction in Life Sciences and Biochemistry. I’ve also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Oxford, leading classes for medical students, and have organised and run academic workshops and journal clubs. Throughout my own studies, I consistently achieved high marks, which helps me guide students towards strong exam performance. My lessons are suited for GCSE and A-level students in Biology and Chemistry, as well as university students needing support in life sciences, pharmacology, or related areas.
