About Lucretia

Hello! I’m Lucretia, a passionate and dedicated English teacher originally from South Africa and now living in the United States. I have 6 years of experience helping students of all ages and language levels improve their English and achieve their goals.

I genuinely enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and helping them become more confident in their communication. Whether you are learning English for school, work, travel, IELTS, or everyday conversations, I aim to make every lesson comfortable, practical, and enjoyable.

I’m a patient, friendly, and encouraging teacher who believes that learning should be something you look forward to. I enjoy getting to know my students and understanding what motivates them so that I can make lessons relevant to their needs.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, exploring new ideas, and learning about different cultures. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your English-learning journey!

My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and student-centered. I believe every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to your level, learning style, and personal goals. With 6 years of experience teaching students of all ages, I use conversation, practical examples, guided exercises, questions, and constructive feedback to make lessons engaging and effective.

A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or review to understand your progress and identify areas that need attention. We then focus on the main skill for the lesson, followed by practical activities and speaking practice. I always leave time for feedback and make sure you understand what we have covered.

I specialize in **English, IELTS preparation, Business English, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and English for children**. I work with beginners through advanced learners, as well as students preparing for IELTS or professionals who want to communicate more confidently in English.

What sets me apart is my ability to work with different ages and learning levels while creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving. My goal is to help you become a confident, independent English communicator while making every lesson useful and enjoyable.
