About Kennon
English is my one true passion. My goal is to share my knowledge with my students and help ease them into new topics for academic or personal reasons.
I prefer a modern approach to teaching literature and writing that includes women, POC, and LGBTQ communities. I also encourage my students to spend time studying their work on social media or other outlets that they would typically use outside of the classroom to help create authentic interactions and interest.
When it comes to writing, I have worked on almost any subtopic it offers. This includes:
- Academic and essay writing
- Business writing
- Manuscript and memoir writing
- Technical writing
- Creative writing
- Content writing
- Rhetoric and literary writing
This list is endless! Being an educator is more than a job for me, it is my life's purpose, it's what fuels me. Through the years I have learned what it means to be an honest and trustworthy educator that gets results.

My specialty is prepping students for harder or future classwork by showing them that learning can be fun and engaging. Typically I work with high school level but I can also work with middle school, preferably grades six and up to undergrad studies.
