About John

I have taught music and guitar in various forms for 15 years, and performed with rock, blues, praise, and jazz groups playing lead, rhythm, and bass guitar. I love music of all kinds, and finding varying ways to take songs and make them new, write original music, and revel in the love I have for music.

About the lesson

Clients learn their instrument and why the guitar works in music as a staple instrument. Music theory and application to build skills and learn to break down songs to better understand how to perform and compose music is the process through which clients improve.

Mr. Locke was my high school history teacher back in the day. He is a really cool guy and is very articulate. I never took guitar lessons from him but as far as being a teacher he gets five stars. I have no doubt he would be able to help anyone achieve their goals whether as a musician or in history!
