About Mathula
I enjoyed learning English so much, growing up, that I have always wanted to teach the subject towards the end of my career, and share that experience.
I have a ton of corporate experience, local and international, having worked for one of the largest global IT companies as well as one of the “big four” South African banks. One of my passions is teaching business English, while sharing my experiences of corporate life, to help my students (who need it) with their careers.
I am a graduate of the University of Natal, now UKZN, and of the University of Pretoria’s business school (GIBS).
I took an English Language Studies course at university, in addition to two years of university level English.
I have a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). I am about to complete my TEFL Diploma, which includes teaching online and one-to-one, as well as teaching Business English.
I also offer Beginner Level German.
I have lived in Germany. I had formal lessons prior to living there, and I continue to learn the language online. I love learning new languages and getting to know cultures from other countries, therefore I am also working on the Korean, Japanese and Mandarin languages, as well as those nations’ history and cultures.

I have many years of corporate experience, and I look forward to teaching you Business English.
I also teach basic German and beginner to intermediate Zulu.
My students and their language needs are the main focus, the lessons will be paced according to your needs and preference. My aim is to get you speaking the language as quickly as possible, depending on your needs, and to enjoy yourself while learning. It does not have to be super intense.
