About Eve

Hi! I’m Emma, a TEFL-certified English tutor with over four years of experience and a background in Adult Education from Dalhousie University. I work with students who want to improve their English skills while also building confidence speaking naturally in real-life situations. Many people understand English well but still feel nervous expressing themselves in conversations, at work, or in everyday life. My goal is to help students feel more comfortable, confident, and supported as they improve. My teaching style combines structured lessons with a personalized and encouraging approach. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals, learning style, and comfort level, whether you want to improve conversational fluency, pronunciation, workplace communication, grammar, or overall confidence speaking English. I believe learning works best in a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing naturally over time. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my students and creating lessons that feel engaging, practical, and motivating. About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, learning style, and comfort level. Whether you want to improve conversational fluency, grammar, pronunciation, workplace communication, or overall confidence speaking English, we’ll create lessons that support your progress step by step. I combine structured learning with natural conversation practice so students can build both accuracy and confidence. Lessons are designed to feel supportive, engaging, and practical rather than overly rigid or stressful. In our lessons, we may focus on: Real conversational speaking practice Grammar and vocabulary development Pronunciation and speaking clarity Everyday English and workplace communication Confidence building through guided conversation I understand that learning a language can feel intimidating at times, so I aim to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving naturally over time. Each lesson is adapted to your level and goals, and I always want students to leave feeling motivated, supported, and more confident using English in real-life situations.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, level, and learning style. I offer both structured English lessons and conversational coaching focused on building confidence, fluency, and real-life communication skills. Hourly lessons are available at $29/hour, with discounted rates for 5-hour and 10-hour lesson packages. Online lessons are available worldwide, and in-person lessons may be available depending on location. Additional transportation fees may apply for travel. I currently offer a free introductory session so we can discuss your goals, learning style, and create a plan that feels right for you.
