About Rachel
I am an ecologist, and as personal reasons prevented me from working in the field I became an online proofreader and editor instead. I love helping others to share their studies with the rest of the world, and to succeed in their careers. Publishing academic findings is a vital part of scientific endeavour, so whether it is a high-school project or a paper from a PhD, I believe that everyone should get the support they need to make their work shine.

15 minutes prior to starting a lesson, you would submit your paper, or idea for a paper, to me. Within a 45 minute session, we go through your paper and organise it so that it flows logically and smoothly. Hypotheses, inconsistencies, missing information, too much information, as well as spelling and grammar are topics that can be covered, depending on the length of your submission. A lesson is 45 minutes with you, plus the 15 minute prep time that I will spend looking at the work you send, so I spend an hour in total. I have been editing scientific papers from people all over the world, both native and non-native English speakers, since 2010. I can help students from senior high to PhD level, and post-doctoral researchers. I have specialised in editing papers for authors for whom English is not their native language, particularly in the field of ecology.
