About Dr Aleisha Miller
I have over 14 years' experience working and teaching in an English speaking and Biological Sciences environment. I am deeply passionate about sharing my expertise, hints and tips with others to ensure that they achieve their highest goals in a positive and supportive learning environment. I am passionate about incorporating mindfulness into our everyday life, therefore I use mindfulness techniques in all of my lesson plans to ensure that each student achieves their personal goals for their highest good.
I strongly believe that connecting to our inner conscious and sub-conscious mind in a grounded way, supports us to be more open and relaxed to receive and absorb the information that is being taught. I have taught many different nationalities at university level and have experience of tutoring, helping student improve their language skills with clear explanations and practical application.

I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students truly understand the material they are learning. I have holistic teaching approach and use breathing exercises to help students relax the mind and body before the start of each session. These techniques aid deeper concentration and allows for students to easily tap into their intuition and understanding of the lessons and complex exercises more easily, rather than just memorization of formulas and sentences.
Before each class, I carefully prepare and plan the topics to be covered. During the lessons, I use annotated resources to guide the students and provide clear explanations. The students are also given a copy of the materials for their reference. To reinforce the concepts, appropriate homework is assigned after each class, allowing students to practice and solidify their knowledge.
I am mindful that everyone has multiple different learning styles, so each lesson is tailored to the students individual learning needs and wants in a supportive, caring, mindful and fun way. I believe in creating supportive and friendly environments, whereby students feel completely comfortable practicing their English in an encouraging and relaxed way. I have worked with students at beginner to advanced levels and always teach in a leaner-centered way. I work hard to build a relationship with all of my students to make learning fun and constructive.
I personalise my teaching plans based on each student's needs. I believe in providing supporting materials after every lesson to solidify the learning objectives set out at the beginning of the lesson.
