About Monica
I earned my PhD from the University of Salento in 2024 focusing on how bias and anxiety can affect student performance in language acquisition, critical thinking and academic performance. My master’s degree is from Drexel University in the science of instruction, and my bachelor’s is in drama from the University of Washington. I was born in California and raised in the Seattle area. At 23, I moved to Morocco, and later to the UAE where I lived for 13 years. This last March, 2025, I repatriated to the US and am currently residing in Pennsylvania.

My lessons are dynamic, engaging, productive and effective. I enjoy structuring lessons that are student-centered and active, often involving games, discussions and tailored instruction.
