About Lauren
I recently defended my PhD at the University of Edinburgh, and have an undergraduate degree in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge. I have always been passionate about education (which is why I've spent 9 years in university!) and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to gain valuable academic skills. I am approachable and professional, and always willing to adapt for your specific needs.

I am a passionate tutor and mentor, and believe that everyone can learn valuable skills in English and writing. I have been teaching for 4 years alongside my PhD, including extensive experience providing 1-on-1 sessions for students. In my teaching, I focus on a collaborative approach, and I value the input from my students. I put accessibility at the centre of my teaching approach, and will adapt my sessions to your needs. I am open to tutoring English (language and literature) at GCSE and A Level, as well as Linguistics at university level, and academic writing skills to university students in a variety of subjects.
