About Farsi

Salaam! I am doctor Tina and I enjoy tutoring :) I am currently a language teacher, creative writer, and translator of specialized texts. I speak Farsi, English, Spanish, basic Arabic, basic French, and some Urdu. I started working as an online tutor with international students over a decade ago and eventually launched my own tutoring business. I have taught Farsi to hundreds of young and old students coming from all corners of the world (all the seven continents minus Antarctica!) Education: -Ph.D. in Media and Communication (Switzerland) -MA in English Language and Literature (Iran)

About the lesson

PLEASE NOTE: The system requires listing a 30-minute introductory session, but my Free Trial Lesson is a 15-minute Zoom call.

No Rescheduling: Once booked, the free introductory session cannot be rescheduled.

Late/No-Show Policy: If you are late or miss the call, the free trial is forfeited.

Next Steps: If you miss the call but still wish to work with me, you will need to purchase a standard 1-hour lesson.

I am quite intuitive regarding what method to use with each new student in order to speed up the learning process for him or her. Students come to my class with their particular needs, reasons, and learning styles. My job is to pinpoint these and adjust my method accordingly in order to optimize their learning experience.

If you are looking for a relaxed, fun, creative, and highly efficient tutor who knows what she is doing and won’t waste your time, money and energy, you have landed on the right page.

A few months into the pandemic, I decided to give learning Farsi another try, and I came across Tina's Farsi content on YouTube and Instagram. It was exactly what I was looking for. My goal was to focus on speaking so I could connect better with my Persian family and family friends.

I've been working with Tina for several years now. She is very knowledgeable and can meet students at any proficiency level. Before we started, I was very shy about speaking Farsi. Over the years, my vocabulary and my confidence have grown so much, and Tina played a big part in that.

Today, I feel far more comfortable speaking up, and when I'm around Farsi speakers, it no longer feels like they're speaking in code while I'm on the outside. I can actually follow along and be part of the conversation. Working with Tina has had a huge positive impact on my life, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take their Farsi to the next level.
