About Catherine

I am a PhD student in Classics (Ancient Mediterranean Studies). I previously received my BA in Classics and participated in a summer spoken Latin program. These degrees require expertise in both Latin and Ancient Greek.

Teaching, Tutoring, and Writing Experience:

3 years reading comprehension for 5th graders
1 year writing for college students, including ESL students
3 years editing and writing in a professional setting
1 year Latin and Greek reading with post baccalaureate students
2 years teaching bioscientific and general vocabulary and concepts from Greek and Latin at the college level
1.5 years teaching Latin at the college level

About the lesson

I think of tutoring as collaboration. When I'm your tutor, I work with you to arrive at an understanding together.

For Latin, that might mean guiding you through a translation or practicing declension endings or vocabulary. I am here to help!

Additionally, I have multiple years of teaching and tutoring at various levels, from reading comprehension with 5th graders to writing and Greek and Latin with college students.
