About Wenxi
I have a BA in math and art history from Washington University in St. Louis and am currently a PhD student in math education at UIC. For the past 5 years, I have been teaching students across grade levels and have used many different math curricula. I am especially well versed in Singapore math curriculum.

I have a background in mathematics and art history so I like to adopt an integrated and interdisciplinary approach with my students. Inspired by my education background in Singapore, I love helping students visualize math problems and routinely design games or use hands-on tools such as manipulatives to help students grasp abstract concepts. I am also passionate about connecting mathematics to the real world so that students are able to better relate to the things they are learning in class.
