About Kamillia
I'm currently studying for my PhD in Neuroscience, having previously completed a Masters in Neuroscience at King's College London. I absolutely love studying the brain as so much is still unknown!
I always excelled in exams at school as I throughly love learning and pushing myself to improve in many aspects. In my undergraduate degree, whilst studying Biochemistry, I came across lectures on the brain and it absolutely fascinated me, so I decide a career in Neuroscience and research was the way for me!
I have tutored Maths, English and Science at KS3 for a few years and most currently I have tutored undergraduates at my university in Biology and Chemistry.
I love walks in nature and reading to help me relax. At university I have been heavily involved in creating spaces for marginalised students and helped to raise money for different charities.

I like to structure my lessons by having a brief overview of what the student feels they are struggling with and then working on these areas using practise questions, until they feel they are confident to answer these questions in class and should they come up in an exam.
I believe in letting the student dictate how they want the lesson to proceed, whether they want to go over something that they aren't confident with or learning something new to help them get ahead in class and exploring.
I have a methodical way of revising and learning, which includes doing practise exams and active recall.
