About Linda

I am a retired Department of Defense analyst and editor. Wrote papers nearly every day for policy makers. Mentored and trained junior analysts in proper research and writing skills. As a historian I’m trained in world civilizations and cultures.

About the lesson

I genuinely like teaching and hopefully inspiring students. Therefore I am not a fan of rote learning but a more collaborative approach that offers students ample opportunities for engagement. I believe that proper writing skills are key to successful careers in any field so brief essays and research papers would be required. Course goals are clearly expressed and students are encouraged to interact with the instructor as well as each other.
Online teaching tools include PowerPoint presentations, videos and discussion groups.
