About Bhumi
I believe philosophy is best learned through curiosity, questioning, and understanding, rather than simply memorizing theories or the names of philosophers.
As a tutor, I focus on helping students understand the ideas behind philosophical arguments and the reasoning that supports them. I encourage students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, consider different perspectives, and develop their own reasoned conclusions.
My teaching style is patient, interactive, and focused on making complex ideas easier to understand. Rather than giving you answers to memorize, I want to help you understand how to think through a philosophical problem and connect different ideas together.
I believe there is no need to be afraid of difficult philosophical concepts. With the right explanations and an open discussion, even complex ideas can become clear, interesting, and meaningful.
My goal is to help you become a more confident, independent, and critical thinker both in your studies and beyond the classroom.

Philosophy Beyond Memorization
Philosophy is not just about memorizing philosophers, theories, or definitions. It is about learning to understand ideas, ask meaningful questions, examine arguments, and think critically.
My classes focus on understanding the why and how behind philosophical ideas. Instead of treating each concept as an isolated topic, we explore how different ideas connect with one another and how they relate to real-life questions and different perspectives.
In our classes, we will work on:
- Understanding philosophical ideas and arguments clearly
- Exploring the reasoning behind different philosophical positions
- Learning how to question assumptions and think critically
- Comparing different perspectives and viewpoints
- Connecting philosophical concepts rather than memorizing them separately
- Developing logical and independent thinking
- Learning how to analyze and express your own ideas with clarity
- Applying philosophical thinking to real-world questions and situations
Whether you are studying philosophy academically or simply want to develop deeper and more critical thinking, the goal is to help you understand philosophy rather than simply remember it.
You will be encouraged to ask questions, challenge ideas, discuss different viewpoints, and develop your own reasoned perspective.

I’ve known Bhumi as a college mate, and she’s genuinely one of those people who can make learning feel much easier and less stressful. She has a really strong command of English, and many of our friends often turn to her for help because of her proficiency and the clarity with which she explains things.
What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t just stick to textbooks or a fixed way of teaching. She understands what the person actually needs and adapts her approach accordingly. She’s incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, which makes it very comfortable to ask questions and learn at your own pace.
She has also helped me personally with my research paper, especially with improving the language and clarity, and it was accepted without any issues. I’ve seen her help many others in the same way too. Even while managing her own work, she has always made time to help whenever someone needed it.
I’d definitely recommend Bhumi to anyone looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely cares about helping people understand rather than just teaching from a book.Best teacher I have come across on this platform
