About Chris
I'm a Cambridge Philosophy graduate, currently studying the Law Conversion at BPP, where I also work as a pro bono student adviser at the BPP Legal Clinic. I'm enhanced DBS checked, so you can book with confidence.
I love reading and writing long-form content, and my favourite part of tutoring is taking a difficult idea and distilling it into something clear and useful. Anything can be broken down, even the longest of monologues from a Shakespearean character! I regularly work with teenagers in my volunteering, so I know how to make a lesson engaging and approachable.
Outside of work, I enjoy martial arts, which has taught me the value of discipline, consistent practice, and steady progress, all things I bring to my teaching.
Parents receive regular feedback on their child's progress, and my students have seen real improvement in both grades and confidence.

My lessons are hands-on and conversational. Rather than asking students to memorise content, I focus on the "why?" behind every topic so that ideas actually stick. In English Literature, we work through texts using close analysis and active dialogue, building the skills to form independent interpretations and write with confidence.
Lessons are built around custom slides tailored to the student, starting with core content and moving on to harder, higher-grade material. I diagnose gaps early and target them directly. I like to keep students talking and thinking.
Lesson length: 60 minutes, online.
Who it's for: GCSE students (Years 10-11, ages 14-16), including ambitious students who want to aim for the top grades as well as students with lower grades who want a real step up.
Experience: Philosophy graduate from Cambridge and an A-Level in English Literature. 1+ year experience tutoring GCSE students online. My students have grown noticeably in confidence and are on track for strong improvements in their mocks.
