About Kahina

Hi there! I am a 22-year-old philosophy student who is looking to help you in whichever way you may need. I have a passion for learning and have a great appreciation for the world of academia. With all that being said, I know it can be intimidating, frustrating and can cause helplessness. LUCKILY - We can work through all of that together. Not only am I an experienced tutor, but I am an experienced student, and I incorporate the latter into each tutoring session. I help all of my students with an individualized approach, asking how I can aid, what the needs are, and what the frustrations/hold backs may be. I do my best to relate to my students and put myself in their shoes, as I too am an active student. In doing so, I am able to connect with my students in ways other tutors simply cannot. I am fluent in English and French, I am intermediate in Spanish as well.

About the lesson

I am an energetic and engaged tutor with a passion for learning and teaching. I have worked with varying levels and skills through my experience, and have found ways to adapt my lessons to prepare my students in whatever ways they may need - regardless of the level they are currently at. I like to ask for short-term and long-term goals, I assess current skills/abilities and from there, we can personalize lessons to your needs. I am in my early twenties and have worked with kids as young as 8 (writing their first essays, creative writing assignments, analyzing poetry, grammar help/spelling) , and adults up to 35 (proofreading essays, dissertations, research, teaching english literacy). I have experience in SAT/ACT prep as well as AP test prep. Let me help you.
