About Shivani
Currently, I am a 21 year old Politics student and in my third year. I am a full time student although I am only on campus 2 days a week so I have a lot of free time and I am always available to dispel any concerns you might have regarding the content.
As a teenager, school was fairly challenging for me as I struggled to concentrate for long periods! This impacted my grades negatively. It wasn’t until I attended private tutoring sessions that I finally got the chance to explore different learning styles & realised I was able to learn best visually - through diagrams, timelines, flowcharts etc.
I have come a long way since then. The skills and support I received from private tutoring have been extremely useful throughout all stages of my education, including my degree.

Depending on the frequency of tutoring sessions I am happy to provide students with interactive modes of learning alongside tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style, namely, visual, auditory, kinesthetic or through simple reading/writing. The typical length of a tutoring session is 1 hour, however, it is possible to request more hours.
Sessions are suitable for GCSE students, ranging from 11-16 years of age. However, this may change in the future to also include A-Level students.
Active recall will be applied throughout our sessions to monitor progress & identify areas in which students are struggling. Regular homework will be set to ensure student’s are engaging with the content.
Please note that students are warmly encouraged to present questions anytime outside of tutoring hours to my work email address - which will be provided in due course.

Please note that online rates are fixed at £15 per hour and for face-to-face learning I charge £20 per hour + additional travel costs depending on how far your location is.
