About Violet
I am a post-A Level student, going to study Modern History at the University of St Andrews. I have always been hard-working and hope to inspire the same academic drive in my students. Not only are exam grades important, but enjoyment is key to succeeding in the classroom. I am passionate about my subjects and feel they can be enjoyed by everyone. Outside of academics, I have been a Mental Health and Wellbeing ambassador for my school, as well as a sports scholar, competing in hockey, tennis and netball. I have two dogs and three cats and am the youngest of three siblings. I hope to be a journalist/writer after University.

Through practice questions, intellectual discussion and reviewing difficult content, I will help you become confident and exam-ready. Writing practice is essential so I will guide you in how to write an excellent essay, and help make the exam content manageable. Lessons can be up to an hour long for A-Level/GCSE students. I am a recent academic scholar at Oakham School and have finished my A-Levels with 3 A*s in English Literature, History and Philosophy. I have experience tutoring the above subjects as an academic mentor at my previous school. I am willing to adapt my lesson-style for the individual to help you learn in the most effective way.
